Simi Nallaseth has animated for the Oscar-nominated animated feature Ice Age (directed by Chris Wedge) for Blue Sky Studios, produced by Twentieth Centaury Fox. She has also directed animation for commercials such as Finish Cotton and Aquafresh Toothbrush and animated for commercials such as Subway Sandwiches, Kool-Aid, etc. Currently, Epiphany Films is developing an animated feature-length film for UTV.
Diabolic Wife, her student film from the School Of Visual Arts, New York, won several animation awards such as the First Prize (student/faculty category) at National Computer Graphics Association, USA, First Prize (student category) at Asifa East Festival and The 25th New York Expo of Short Films, New York. With over 7 years of experience in this field, he has developed a thorough understanding of the ins and outs of Production Pipelines so as to guarantee the overall success of a project by optimizing and improving the quality of workflow between creative, technical and management as a Technical Director. Involved in CGTantra full time now, and taking CGTantra to a new horizon, Chand has previously worked as a Technical Director in ettamina studios and UTV Toonz where he has successfully delivered numerous TV Series as well as Direct to DVD Movies. He has worked at Maya Entertainment Ltd. prior to that.
Chand has been an ardent speaker at various Indian and International Conferences including Anigraph, Anifest, ABAI Fest, FMX in Germany, Siggraph in the US. Has been a Jury member for FICCI BAF Awards, Anifest etc and also been Advisory Council member of NASSCOM Animation and Gaming Forum (NAGFO). |

Shilpa Ranade has been a practicing animator for the last ten years, and also an Educator for the last six years as well. Her primary concern during practice and teaching has been indigenous animation and through her work has attempted to engage with images and narratives to make animation, which while being personal were also socially and culturally relevant.
She is also involved in researching and writing on animation. Animation and Children’s book illustration are among the type of work she undertakes. Currently Shilpa is teaching animation at postgraduate level at IIT Bombay. |

Sanjiv is currently the Chief Creative officer for MAAC . He has been in the animation industry since his graduation from collage in 1991. He partnered with the father of Indian animation Mr. Ram Mohan, and together had a huge monopoly and stronghold in the advertising industry, bagging lots of awards internationally and locally.
The appetite to grow internationally lead to a merger of his company merging, and starting a profit sharing partnership with UTV,to form a first of its kind outsourcing animation outfit back in 1997. Sanjiv was instrumental in growing a first of its kind animation setup at a time when no animation training was available in the country. He has also worked with a few international production TV shows and home DVDS. He has also been part of many new ventures.
He is a supporter of grooming the Indian animation community, and is a active founding member of TASI (The animation society of India) and has been a jury on different animation platforms like Nasscom, FICCI. He also has been propaganding and taking workshops and sessions on animation internationally as well as locally. Animation has always been an integral part of Sanjiv and will continue to be one. |

Anand Gurnani is the Co Founder, CEO & Managing Editor of the Internationally acclaimed Animation Xpress Network which is a B2B Media company focused on the Animation, Visual Effects and Gaming space.
An authority on the Indian animation ecosystem, Anand has actively participated as a speaker and moderator at Industry Forums the world over including MIPCOM Junior, NAB, Digicon, AYACC, NASSCOM Animation & Gaming Summit amongst others.
He has also founded and organized several leading Industry forums and conferences through Animation Xpress, these include, AITF (Animation & Interactive Technology Forum), AFF (The Animated Feature Forum), IAI (Industry Academia Interface). The latest initiative he is driving is the launch of the Asia Pacific and China edition of Animation Xpress.
Anand is proud to be a high school drop out. He began his career at age 15 and in the past 14 years has seasoned himself in businesses including Incense Sticks, Printing & Publishing, besides of course animation and the media where he has spent the past 7 years.
His obsessions include ‘Writing’ ‘Art’ ‘Travelling’ ‘Internet’ ‘Facebook’ ‘Food’ and he is grateful to the almighty as well as the animation ecosystem for providing him a profession and place under the sun where he can enjoy slogging at work.
Besides his full time occupation as promoter and worker at Animation Xpress, Anand is currently also immersed in writing, ideating, and co-developing 4 properties including a children’s picture book series, a novel, a comic strip, and a ‘live action’ TV soap as well.
Anand lives with his parents and brother in Mumbai which according to him is one of the safest cities in the world.
The latest news from his end is that the recession has just made him uninhibited, fearless, and even more ambitious. |

Mehul Hirani started his career as a software programmer with a software development company for around 3 years. In 1995 he left the programming field to get into Crest communication studios as a 3d animator.
Major part of his career he has worked on television commercials where he would be involved from the shoots till the final delivery of the film.
Since the last 5 years he has worked with organizations which are involved in long format TV shows and feature films.
Since the last 3 years he has been working with Crest animation studios as a Creative director and Project Head for different shows.
His first project at Crest Word world received a couple of awards locally and internationally and currently he is involved in Crest's first international theatrical release, where he looks after the Creative side and certain part of the technical challenges. His other involvement has been in successfully developing and implementing an Asset Management and Project Tracking system along with the powerful programming team where he designs the flow and the programming team makes it happen. He consider this system development as one of his major achievements since he has joined crest.
